I currently teach core courses in Statistics and Probability, including Statistical Methods (in Spanish) and Applied Probability (in Spanish), as part of the Bachelor's Degree in Data Science program coordinated by IIMAS-UNAM. At the graduate level, I regularly teach the course on Statistical Inference for the Master's Degree in Mathematical Sciences program, a collaborative effort by the Faculty of Sciences, IIMAS, and IMATE at UNAM.

My teaching approach balances theoretical concepts with practical applications. For Statistics courses, I emphasize hands-on projects where students analyze real-world datasets. These projects help students explore multiple variables from one or more databases while gaining proficiency in statistical software.

A key objective is to equip students with essential skills in using R, the primary language taught in the course, for database management, data analysis, and comprehensive report writing. However, the concepts and methodologies are adaptable, allowing students to apply them in other programming languages such as Python, which is also popular among the community. By the end of the course, students are expected to present comprehensive reports that accurately describe their findings. You can find additional resources and tutorials on my Tutorials (in Spanish) page.
